Good morning!  Today I am extra thankful for our custodian, Norm Unterseher.  For some reason, when out-of-character things happen here at the church, Norm is the person I forget to contact.  This Sunday morning, when I walked into the fellowship room at 9 am, after our 8 am worship service up at Makoshika, Norm was busy vacuuming and tidying up.  I thought that was odd until I realized we had a traveling youth group pass through and stay here on Friday night.  A last minute change brought about their contacting me, asking if they could stay here.  Of course, the answer was 'Yes' and Bill Miller met them when they arrived and showed them around.  They stayed and left, to go on their way to Idaho for a mission trip.  And of course, there was some clean-up that was necessary that wasn't done because the person responsible for the clean-up had no idea that it was needed.  When he noticed that things were not quite as clean as usual, Norm went to work.  Unfortunately, when I forget to tell Norm, it makes him look bad and no one knows it was my mistake.  So I am thankful not only for the usual work that Norm does so well, but also for the extra work he does when something extra is going on at the church.  And I am very thankful for his understanding attitude when communication breaks down.  May God be with us all when miscommunication happens, and give us patience!

This week at Zion:
Today - 5 pm - Loaves and Fishes and Salvation Army
Wednesday - 8:30 am - Zoom Bible Study
10 am - Circle of Prayer
Thursday - 6:30 - Men's Bible Study at CC's

6 pm - Worship in the Prayer Garden
Saturday - 10 am - 2 pm - Furniture Room
Sunday - 8 am - Worship at Makoshika
10 am - Worship in the Sanctuary

Have a good week and feel free to thank Norm for his conscientious labor of love here at Zion!

Zion Lutheran Church has always been an active part of the world community.

From our yearly World Mission Sunday to support of rural ministry,

from Lutheran World Relief to proving a community used furniture room

and supporting the local food bank, Zion is "a church without walls".

Our members recognize the importance of their baptisms and through worship

and regular holy communion, believe God's call to discipleship is a call to faith in action.

We invite you to worship with us.

"All are welcome in this place"
