Good Morning1
It has been one of those days.  It seems as if everything has to go wrong once in a while, and maybe it is good that it happens on the same day so only 1 day is messed up.  I have a feeling everyone knows exactly what I am talking about when I mention 'one of those days.'  And so I usually pray for God to help me get things back together.  But today I am trying something different.  I am praying for patience, so that my impatience doesn't make things worse.  After all, the misfortunes of today have been small.  Just irritating.  Nothing has reached crisis level.  So I am praying for patience. And the sarcastic part of me wants it 'right now.'  and so I will keep praying for patience, especially when I am here at work.  When do you need more patience?  I wonder if it would help to pray for patience before becoming irritated?  Is that even possible?  Thank goodness God is here when things are going well and when things are chaotic!!!

On Friday, a small group of us is going to be painting the last 3 rooms of the upstairs of the parsonage.  I was hoping for a group of 5 but only have 3 of us.  So I am looking for at least 2 more people to help with the painting.  The carpet is coming early next week, so many hands will make for speedy work and we can be finished before the carpet arrives.  Let me know if you would like to be a painter for a day.  Thanks in advance!

Zion Lutheran Church has always been an active part of the world community.

From our yearly World Mission Sunday to support of rural ministry,

from Lutheran World Relief to proving a community used furniture room

and supporting the local food bank, Zion is "a church without walls".

Our members recognize the importance of their baptisms and through worship

and regular holy communion, believe God's call to discipleship is a call to faith in action.

We invite you to worship with us.

"All are welcome in this place"
