Good Morning!
As I enter my first week of being a 1 handed pastor, I figure I might as well ask for forgiveness in advance.  I am quickly learning that life will be in slow motion for awhile.  And I have no desire to spend time correcting typos.  So for hte next few weeks, I just ask that you extend grace for small flaws.  i will try not to be tardy, but I can already tell that is probably an unreachable goal.  I plan to work half day today and finish up whatever needs to be done on Friday.

I am thankful for the willingness of Nancy Korb who led worship yesterday.  I also know that Zion is fiilld with gracious people who are willing to hellp when needed.  This is what ministry looks  like!  we are there for each other when there is the need and we have fun worshipping and doing ministry together.  When i was in NY visiting my daughter, an acquaintance of hers learned that I was a pstor and very loudly went on a tirade about how awful Christians were and how ridiculous it was to meet in a church building instead of worshipping aloone, jwhich is how he thought it should be.  He seemed to think that Christians were miserable people gathered together forcefully and controlled by the leaders.  I am so thakful for our ministry together and for the joy we share as a congregation!

Zion Lutheran Church has always been an active part of the world community.

From our yearly World Mission Sunday to support of rural ministry,

from Lutheran World Relief to proving a community used furniture room

and supporting the local food bank, Zion is "a church without walls".

Our members recognize the importance of their baptisms and through worship

and regular holy communion, believe God's call to discipleship is a call to faith in action.

We invite you to worship with us.

"All are welcome in this place"
