ANNOUNCEMENTS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Food Bank: There is always a need of nonperishable food such as peanut butter, cereals, mac and cheese, boxed mixes, canned fruit, veggies and soup. Also, sugar and flour. You can drop your donations directly at the Food Bank or into the shopping cart in the Narthex. Used Furniture Room: Thank you to all who helped in our Used Furniture Room cleanup in July. We are open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday except holiday weekends. We are always in need of household items — bedding, towels, pots and pans, silverware and of course mattresses and chests or shelving. Hand Towels-Lutheran World Relief: ZLCW is collecting dark colored hand towels for the ELCA layette and personal care kits. A basket is in the narthex for the month of July for donations. Makoshika Worship: We have four services left on the Hill. Our theme for August will be a closer study of The Lord’s Prayer. Thanks to Steve Merrill who sets everything up and provides music. Pastor Avis is doing the preaching in Makoshika this summer. Youth Director: Youth and Education Committee has posted the position of part time Youth Director, 15-20 hours per month. Live Streaming: Remember we have the live streaming of the Sunday 10 am service when you are out of town with vacation, sports, or other events. Please check it out. and supporting the local food bank, Zion is "a church without walls".
Our members recognize the importance of their baptisms and through worship
and regular holy communion, believe God's call to discipleship is a call to faith in action.
